What Shopabroad is

Shopabroad is an informational price-comparison site for travelers. We surface the price gap between home and a destination country. We're not a retailer - we hold no inventory, take no orders, and process no payments. Any purchase happens on a retailer's site, not ours, and is governed by that retailer's terms.

Prices and exchange rates

Prices on Shopabroad are gathered from named retailers and stored with a last-verified date. They're a snapshot - not a live feed from each retailer's till. Prices change, sales come and go, stock fluctuates, and exchange rates move minute to minute. The actual price at the till may differ from what you see here. We try to surface significant gaps, not to guarantee a specific number.

Exchange rates are pulled from the European Central Bank via Frankfurter, updated several times a day. AED falls through to a static peg because the ECB doesn't publish it.

No warranty

Shopabroad is provided as-is. We do our best to keep the catalog accurate, but we make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You travel and shop at your own risk. We're not responsible for retailer disputes, warranty claims, regional incompatibilities (electrical, software, sizing), customs decisions, or any other consequence of decisions you make using our information.

Customs and tax

We don't calculate or advise on customs duty, VAT, or import allowances. Any travel-allowance information on the site is general and may be out of date. For decisions about declaring goods on return, use the official customs authority of your home country - we link to them on the About page.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links. When you click one and buy, we may receive a small commission. This commission doesn't change the price you pay. We disclose this clearly - see our affiliate disclosure. Affiliate arrangements never determine which retailer we list or how we rank them - see the disclosure page for our ranking criteria.

Use of the site

Use Shopabroad for personal, non-commercial trip planning. Don't scrape it at volume, don't republish the catalog elsewhere as if it were yours, don't attempt to disrupt the service. Reasonable web crawling that respects robots.txt is fine.

Changes

We may update these terms when the site changes meaningfully. The last-updated date below is the source of truth. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Shopabroad is run by a Belgian sole proprietorship. Our full legal identification - registered name, address, and company number - is on the legal page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute that can't be resolved by emailing us first goes to the courts of Belgium.
